My hubby was nice enough to get neutered. He felt like 2 6-month bed-rests in 26 months and 14 combined months of vomiting constantly was plenty of discomfort for me. He figured a quarter-inch incision and a few days on the couch was fair.
I have a friend that got neutered after he and his DW's 3rd baby. Of course, he had to have it done again after their 4th. I made sure to be prompt, courteous and on time to all of my follow-up appointments.
Thank you so much! But you should know that I have been blaming it on you!!!!!
When you announced your surprise egg during the New Year hatchathon, I bragged that I was 36 and didn't have any yet and even knocked on wood! Next thing I know, SURPRISE !!!!!!
LOL Ah, it's the best. Had my boys at 35 and 36, perfect time, smooth pregnancies for the most part, worked up to day of both times. I've never enjoyed anything more than both the pregnancies and the results.
LOVE MY BOYS! hehehehe And yeah, spayed now (more due to risk for familial history of ovarian cancer than anything else) which was a breeze, no external incisions, no pain other than mild achiness the first day.
Oh, I'm so jealous/happy for you, week 20 ultrasounds are the best.

LOL! I did too. When I say fixed, my DH gets mad. He says they broke me.
I had medical issues that caused 3 miscarriages and so I was done.
Then we were given the chance to adopt a beautiful baby boy. And we jumped at it. There is a LONG story here...... And his biological mother did not get her tubes tied, again it is a long story. I have a fear that she will call me. (And if I am honest maybe a small amount of hope.)
But our youngest is a handful! He just turned 3. We also have 2 puppies that are @15 weeks old and I am not sure who gets into more trouble.....
