Laree those are such great photos! I love the one of the chick sleeping on your DH's arm. So cute!

My little seventh pipper began his work at about 9:40 this morning. He's got a hole about the size of a dime, and has for four or five hours, and a strange little bit of blood on the underside of his beak. He moves his little head occasionally, and I can see his chest/tummy/something rise and fall within the egg. He's not doing much, but I guess I should assume he is okay? When he busted his dime-sized hole, I was hoping he'd go ahead and zip around, hatch, and dry so that I could move him and his six buddies to the brooder this evening since no one else has pipped. I'm still waiting.

I hope he's okay, and I hope that my other little guys won't get too dehydrated by the fan in this Genesis. One of them has been hatched in there since seven this morning. (It is 10:21 pm here now.)
Any thoughts?

Quick question for those of you with cabinet type incubators.........do I leave the light inside the cabinet on or off? The chicks seemed to move to the front of the cabinet where the light is. Should I leave it off so they just sleep?
