So true, I set 30 of my own eggs and 27 hatched, for a rate of 90% I set 19 shipped eggs and 5 hatched for a rate of 26%, overall I ended up with a hatch rate of 65%. I was pretty happy with that since 39% of my eggs set were shipped.
Congratulations on your hatch, you did a great job!
Deb
Yeah, your 90% is an A! Yet by some weird roll of the dice, I win best hatch rate with an 89% B+. Don't get me wrong, I'll take it ... it sort of makes up for my poor little chicky getting last place 0% (no kidding!) in the cutest chick from this hatch contest. But I'm not going to believe I won best hatch until the little GFM? banner is near my name ... can't count chickens before they hatch, right? But a big thanks to BYC for offering up a prize and a contest for the the best hatch rate. And all the other prizes BYC, Brinsea, and BYC members (were there others?) offered and the contests they ran. I'm still looking forward to seeing if the person I voted for wins the Best Hatch Participant prize! Plus the Flapper contest. I really like that bell that is the prize, but didn't enter.
....counting today, only 8 more work days before I retire.
Wow! Congratulations!
I will never be able to retire. I have 7 children.
I will continue to wonder which patient I'll fall over on someday....
Oh, great, another reason to fear going to the dentist. (I can't get the man laughing on the ground icon to work so imagine it here.)
Dang I wish I'd seen this pic to include in the cutest chic pic poll....
A parrot, rejected by it's parents. I wonder why?....
Is that what parrot babies look like? Oh, dear. Kangaroo babies are pretty odd looking, too, as they wander down to live in their pouches.
