so for the biggest hatch rate will there be a subdivision for the eggs that were shipped vs not shipped?

i'll be hatching japs anyway and they have a leathal gene so that will greatly affect my hatch rates then i was going to get some shipped in.
so i know i wont win that category anyway but was just curious cause shipped eggs have less of a chance to hatch.

I hatched more males than females last year.....we'll see if things are different this year.

Usually hatch rates on these threads are calculated pretty straight forward - how many set vs how many hatch. Too complicated any other way with so many people involved! Most of us set shipped eggs to some degree I think. I doubt I'm the only constant lurker on the auction thread

Anyone out there hatch ONLY their own eggs???

Also, I guess my trick of unsubscribing and then resubscirbing didn't stick. I am not going to do it every time I come on the thread. Just have to keep doing this manually.

I don't want to be in the contests either, in fact will withdraw from the hatch if participating requires being in the competions.

You'll probably see far less posts from me this year; partly due to my trying to learn to negotiate the new format, partly because I'm busier this year.

I did get my first two eggs from my stubborn gals; a black Orp pullet laid her first egg just in time to make a baker's dozen of the eggs I purchased for a test run of the Fridgibator

............... it took two hours to stabilize after adding the eggs.
