Mahonri's 3rd Annual, BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!

No I got the house, he wasn't employed so couldn't afford it... I was paying for it pre-divorce so nothing changed there.

Just frustrating... that repayment came as a total surprise to me this year. It's 500$ each year over 15 years so at least it's not a lump sum.

I finished alimony payments to him a little over a year ago, that was a fun monthly reminder of my folly... now I'll have this yearly reminder for 15 years.

Not often the colleges close for bad weather in Northern Minnesota, but today was one of those days. We have more than a foot of new snow and major winds. Blizzard! Yuck. Even worse in central/south Minnesota (farm land). At least we have trees to slow the wind down a little.

Is that hardwire cloth on the top of your coop? How much snow has blown in? Those dunes look scary!

Hope everyone's safe and warm - both chickens and humans.

SCG, sorry for the bad news on the repayment, but it could be worse I guess.

No snow or tornadoes here today, but wind gusts to 50 mph. Looking forward to pics of the snow, JG2; we didn't get much here this winter. [Ain't complainin'' bout it though.]

It is hardware cloth on the top of the small coop. But that is only a summer coop

Everyone is safe and sound after having to pull a DD out of the neighbors driveway to get her home and the driveway had just been plowed! I think the weather system that you are going to get is the front edge of what we have. Stay safe everyone - including everyone in the rain/sleet section of this storm

Very true. $500 a year is worth your sanity. Been there, done that

I got roses for the first time from my ex the first Valentine's Day we were separated. He paid for them with a credit card that I had to pay off. Much smaller bill, but like you it was worth every dime to have him gone. He wanted alimony as well, didn't get it. I can look back on it and laugh now because I have a great DH, even if he doesn't really understand the chicken insanity. He does like watching the chicks hatch, eating the extra roos and the eggs and does help me a little with caring with them. I think the second time around, I did much better. Of course I was older and smarter by then too
