I had the pleasure of meeting BostonBryce, his dad, and his brother today. Very nice people! He asked if I had met Mahonri in person, and I LAAAAUUUUUGGGGHED.

Yes.

I have met Mahonri.

He is an enabler.

Try walking away from his house without a box of roos. Impossible!

Boston took two of my turkey toms and the first 4 turkey eggs laid this year. I maybe might probably have suggested he set them for the Easter hatch.

Then 2 minutes after BostonBryce left, Pastrymama came over with 2/3 of her brood. My kids were at the park with friends, so it was a relatively quiet visit.

Then 2 minutes after Pastrymama left, my kids returned with 2 kids who are spending the night.

Right now, 4 kids are filling a blanket fort with Legos and Lincoln Logs. Busy, busy day today.

..waiting for some other BYCer to randomly drop in. McLevinson perhaps?

I also had an awesome day of meeting fellow BYCers. I just ordered a second Brinsea EcoGlow 20 and a replacement battery for my SpotCheck, just in case. (BTW, the current 10% off code is SPRING.) Not that I am counting my chickens before they hatch, but I am setting twice as many eggs this year, if everything comes through, so figuring there will be twice as many chicks.

I wish I had quoted to make this easier to find - but, to the person who asked if you can enter more than one design into the Most Ingenious Chicken Design Contest, they answer is YES. The idea is to generate and share as many ingenious and helpful designs as possible to give us all fantastic new ideas going into the new year!

She is truly an awesome woman... and since the first day I met her, I felt I had known her forever.

Earlier today I went to Chandler to buy a used car for DS#2. We got a 1992 Town Car.... 79,000 miles in great condition and all of the electronics still work great. We bought mats and headlight cleaner. Took it to the car wash and got it waxed and a couple of windshield chips, resin fixed. Stopped by the SaraLee store to buy bread and treats. Came home and fixed a couple of sandwiches.

Bored yet?

Got the chicks fed... gave them some broccoli, and bread from the SaraLee store as a treat. Gathered the eggs.. got 8 today. Gave the hens their pea shells and some broccoli and lettuce from my garden for treats.
Gave 18 eggs to my back yard neighbors. Cleaned the pool a little. Watched Lilly and her two pups for a few moments.

Did I tell y'all that I made it to the top of Camelback yesterday in 43 minutes? yeah I probably did.. but I'm getting so old, I think it's a miracle I made it to the top.

I'm ready for a long winter's nap. or maybe I'll watch the caucus results for WA. (Go Mitt!)
