Oh, that is interesting that you ask that now. I just sold her to a friend up north. She is a great girl..laid allll winter long. Why is it that they say that Ameraucanas and EE's usually don't lay well. That girl laid an egg at least 5 days a week. Making room for the newcomers..my friend north of me is going to breed her. So long live the dsgard breed!

I'm offically accepted..thanks Mahonri, my eggs were set a few days ago, but here I am.
I have 21 Pure Araucanas, and 11 Wheaten Ameraucanas set.

Well I am so glad she did so good for you over the winter! I have been busy. School, work and now this hatch. So glad to see that you have joined in.

I have mainly barnyard mixes going on but I also have some shipped eggs. Can't wait for the chicks! How have you been? Are you going to make the trip up north for Chickenstock?

I have 246 unread posts, and by the time I get this posted, there will probably be 300! Anyway, here is the picture of my eggs. I was waiting because my pheasants JUST started laying the 16th (at least 1 has), and I was hoping for one more, but with snow this morning, I think they/she have decided to wait for awhile. If I get one later today, I will stick it in. Since they take 23 - 24 days, they are going to be after Easter anyway.
