Thats what happens when you think none of your eggs are going to come through and you panic. Thank goodness DH is deployed...he'd divorce me!

will be glad when tomorrow gets here will be able to turn in the order forms to my sons school and be done selling candy and cups i am so tired of looking at it. and i can not wait till sat i get to candle the eggs

This list was created around 10am so if you did it some time today then your name may still be there. As soon as all the set numbers are in I can announce a winner for the how many were set.

I don't see my name on either list. My form did go through. At least it said it did, but I don't see me anywhere.

OK I HAVE A BIG QUESTION ALL MY THERMOMITERS READ 100 BUT JUST NOW WHEN I TOUCHED THE EGGS TO SWITCH THEM AROUND SO THEY TAKE TURN IN THE TURNER THEY WERE COOL TO THE TOUCH NOT WARM AT ALL IS THIS SOMETHING I SHOULD WORRY ABOUT

Ok, so I think I figured out my temp issues. So with my turner in an lg, depending on where the turner is at in it's cycle can make a 3 degree difference. If it is flat it is 99.9 or 100 depending on spot ( middle of egg ). To the full right or left, middle of egg is 97.4. Top of egg is 102 when flat, 99.2 when sideways. Thoughts?
I've been having the same problem and posted this question earlier to no avail. Hopefully someone can help!!!

Most Ingenious Chicken Design Contest entry for me is our brooder Deb rescued this from a local auction house it WAS an outdoor barbecue pit....crazy huh? used to cook em ....now is home for them... it looked nothing like this when we bought it for 20 bucks...it had a bottom brace ,which Deb made the bottom or floor of the brooder ....We decided on a baby nursery theme...and my son picked out the colors, deb designed, modified and closed it in and I decorated and painted it. So here it is our nearly seven foot long baby brooder in some of the pics you can see the GREEN house brooder where they go when they first hatch then at about a week or so they go into the big kid brooder....easy to clean you just scoop out shavings with a dust pan.The light can be lowered or raised for less or more heat and we even change out lights to lower wattage on bulbs for older babies...the little shelves make storing things easy and convenient

I don't have anything ingenious, but if I did...I wouldn't submit. This is not only clever and ingenious, it is lovely. Awesome!!!

Aren't you the funny one? Seriously, I lol-ed. However, I think the article talked about vanilla and strawberries ... like as a smell they let the little baby chicks smell from early on. Then when they let them out to roam, if vanilla or strawberries odors could be detected, then the chicks would venture further afield because they felt safe. I guess chicks can even display a disgust response to the smell of a predator that's been encountered before. I imagine you actually could train them to panic at the smell of dumplings cooking ... if you like.

Mahonri I don't know if you read where I was badly burned when I was little, but doctors for years were either surprised or said the reason for my scare to not be as bad as it is, because my ggrandmother doused me in ACV. Just thought I'd mention it. I always use ACV for burns and have all my life, so I know it works.

I used to use ACV in the bath when I would get a sunburn at the beach. I'd come home and head immediately for the tub. It twook the pain right away. However, I didn't know about ACV being used for burns that I might get cooking. Let's say I burned my finger on a pan I was taking from the oven ... how would I use ACV to help that burn not bubble up? A dab? A soak? A spray? Full strength? Diluted? I sure hope you see this post. Thx.

, but at least I wasn't the only one who didn't know.

Nope. I also didn't know. And I've read the thread. But I don't understand everything that is being written ... not by a fur piece. (see following quote from BostonBryce) We just use the term Gaia. The term MN and Mother Nature are seldom used. Well, unless we forget to buy the Chiffon margarine.

You know, I couldn't figure out why these folks have a tramp living in their backyard. First I pictured a hobo with a kerchief hanging on a stick resting on a shoulder. Then I pictured someone who rides the rails and digs through my dumpster in the alley. I thought of Louis L'Amour. I couldn't figure out why the tramp would actually want to be in their backyard. Then it dawned on me after staring at the word "swingset," that the tramp is a trampoline. Duh. But that's why I would never understand the discussion about MN. Mother Nature never wakes people up around here.
