I wanted to thank everyone for the kind words regarding Black Betty.
As predicted, she passed away very quickly last night. I am just glad that it was swift.
Cute chicks! I have a silkie pullet that I'm showing next weekend and she did something to the upper part of her foot and is limpingQuestion about injured roo. I have a Blue French Marans young roo about three months old. He is really pretty and I was going to keep him for breeding. I have a gentleman that comes over to get extra roos for his family when I have them and he was over about a week ago. He steped on the little roos leg and hurt it pretty bad. I don't think it is actually broke but it could be. It has been a week now and he still has trouble putting his weight on it fully and loses his balance when he does. Should I reconsider keeping him for breeding? Has anyone had a chicken injured like this that fully recovered? Sorry if it is the wrong thread to ask on but with soooo many wonderful chicklet caretakers here I thought it would be a good place
. Also I have Swedish Flower Hens and Blue Laced Red Wyandottes hatching today and here are the first ones out![]()

So, tonight's the drawing for the biggest lottery ever. I've come to realize that, while it's awesome that there is always always a chance you could win, the more people there are after the same thing as you, the farther you're already slim chance falls.
It's a bit of a strange thought for me, but it's true. I've creeped myself out with this one.![]()
