Hello Everyone!! I have not been as active in the forum as I would have liked to lately, but I have a quick question. What do I look for in a bad egg? I know about blood rings but that's about it. Tommorw is my day 18 so I start lockdown tommorw. Any info/pics will be great!!!!

lockdown!!!!! got 26/40 doing well! my second attempt at incubating, this one going much better!!!! thx to my swappees! i can't wait to see my babies!

The problem is there are LOTS of rules but some are contradictory!

Hello Everyone!! I have not been as active in the forum as I would have liked to lately, but I have a quick question. What do I look for in a bad egg? I know about blood rings but that's about it. Tommorw is my day 18 so I start lockdown tommorw. Any info/pics will be great!!!!

At this point any signs of leaks or smell should go for sure. Anything that doesn't look "full" with a good air cell may not be good, but if in doubt leave it. There are some good pictures posted if you scan back through the last couple of days. Chestnutridge has posted a current photo every day!

I'm planning to lock down tonight since I won't be around at noon tomorrow. Mine usually hatch promptly, if not early, and since it has been a dry hatch I think the extra humidity now won't hurt. All the air cells look good!

Kathy, they are sooo cute - it was fun to watch them roll around and play like puppies. However, seeing the green grass and hearing the birds and frogs makes me long for spring way more than longing for emus!
