Well Kathy she is an impressive artist and I am sure she does exquisite tatoos as well. Just amazing!

ETA - Does she do art in more "traditional" mediums? I would love to see if I could commission something by her. It might help out with some extra cash too.

Locking down when I get home from work. Hatchery warming since last night. I will be locking down 6 eggs. One lonely duck egg not due till next week. I hope I'm not hatching in the turner this time, while I'm still at work. I hope too digital thermometers both were reading 99* but they were both off by 3* so I hope all goes well.

I have 14 of those set, along with 6 Wheaten Amearancas. I couldn't see in most of those Araucana eggs, so I am happy that one is looking like it will make it. ) Good luck with yours!

Deb, If he has mottled Javas, I'd say it's a good chance that is what it is.....dark legs with yellow on the bottom of the feet.... single comb....

That's my thought. I originally thought ancona, but he only lists RC.

Only from pictures--Mottled javas have different colored legs. This one looks like the pictures of Jersey Giants. I think I know the Breeder and He has Black Giants.

Black Giants is my guess and the white will go away at maturity. This does look a bit like my Black Australorps, but the feet and beak are wrong. Also BAs have more yellow to them instead of white as chicks on the body.

He does list Black Giants (don't want to name names, not that you don't occasionally get an oddball chick when the breeder has so many), but the white seems to be increasing. I know with my BA, they start out with a white wing tip and then it disappears.

Thanks for the help. I guess I'll know in a couple of more weeks/months.
