Mahonri's 3rd Annual, BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!

Have you ever got locked IN the coop? I have read a few of those stories.

I confess, one time I was locked in the coop..... well, in the breeder barn. My son had locked the barn door, not knowing I was inside. I can't recall what I was doing, but I had no idea he locked it. I yelled and hollered for a while. I even checked out the pop doors to see which one was the biggest. THEN, I remembered I had my cell phone in my pocket.

My 3 yr old locked my in mine. He thought it was too funny.

Count me in. I just got back from overseas and promised my son we would hatch some chicks if he was good while I was gone. My new HovaBator Genesis arrived on Friday so the Easter Hatch-A-Long will be our first hatch. Now to line up some hatching eggs.

Good HEAVENS!! In the new BYC format, I frequently jut go to threads I've been in forever...and hardly ever look at new stuff...been on the run lately.

I missed this completely!!

You know I'm in, and you know I'll run The Flapper Contest. Even better, I've now made my own cabinet incubator. If the main brand names are Sportsman and Dickey, I'm calling mine a Farmgirl!

So the Farmgirl Incubator holds ~150 eggs and I'll load it up. If you're interested in one of my breeds, let me know now about eggs so I can hold them for you.

I'll promote the hatchalong in my siggy, too!

OH I may have to take you up on some Lav Orp Eggs

Anything is particular you are looking for coz?

Not super particular... I think my son would like a few Polish or silkies. I personally was thinking about BLRW, Marans or Cornish. We have a few EE's (4 hens and a roo) that I will collect eggs from if all else fails, but I was hoping to diversify this spring.
