Mahonri's 3rd Annual, BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!

Sandhill has dorkings. They had some predation problems over the winter though, and I know some of the dorkings were affected. They also (usually) have black, red, colored, light grey, dark grey, silver grey, white, and some rosecombs. Wish there were someone around here that had Dorkings, I would love to get some rose comb birds to try out.

I also have Euskal eggs coming for the hatch, and so does Chestnut Ridge.

The BYCer I am splitting with has some Sandhill dorkings. There is another place, I think Superior that She is getting some from later. We split an order with SG Dorkings from McMurray and had bad luck this week. We are trying again for next week

.

I saw that you guys were hatching EO Basque eggs for the Easter Hatchalong and was worried that James would not have enough. James said that his hens were laying like crazy and he would have no problem filling the order

. Says a lot about this breed doesn't it!

Really special to me.....Blue Isbar eggs from The Sheriff in Cally.forn.eea.........and silkies from cjexotic in PA (these are not for keeping but to sell as a 4-H fundraiser at a Poultry Workshop) and some Icelandics from my own flock and possibly some from another source

I live down the hill from the Sheriff. Check out her website--Lot's of great recipes there. http://www.bucknrunranch.com/

I might get some of her Cream Legbars from her--I am intrigued by them being auto-sexing. They are way too expensive for me though. Ok, maybe if I save for a while I could......

I have a bit of history with The Sheriff, my flock of Icelandics are here because of her! And you'll see my comments on her blog...she's a great writer! You're fortunate to be so close!!

I am very lucky!

I live near some great BYC Breeders and a couple of very good "other" Breeders. SunnyDawn, WolfTracks, Cheryl Cochen, Jeremy and SewandGrow to name a few.

I am in trouble--I don't have enough room, so BYC is going to force me to move to the Country

You may think of it as trouble now but you'll think of it as heaven if you move to the Country!!!

Well hi for the day, folks. Am mega busy over the next couple of days, so will do my best to keep up.

Am just wondering if anyone is setting anything really special this hatch? Who has eggs travelling the longest distance?

There's a great idea for a contest!

Good morning, hatchers!

I enjoy seeing the "home" photos - keep them coming! ...

This is the only home photo I have that I like right now (without family hogging the scene anyway lol).

Beautiful.........it looks as though one of the "fairy lights" has loosened itself from the string and taken off for the heavens!!

Someone mentioned having a secretary... I have outlook. Outlook tells me what to do and when at work as far as meetings and appointments go. I have a 4 page numbered to do list in order of importance on my desktop, too. At home, it's Post-Its.

I feel like I have early onset dementia, I have the memory of a gnat lately. Too much going on to keep any of it straight unless I write it down.

... oh look, a chicken.

Me too, I'm in the Placerville area. Well, not downhill, just a different spot on the range!
