It's not up quite yet. Right now we're promoting how many eggs we'll set. The Brinsea contest (for what will hatch) will be up and running shortly.

Well since DH is plotting more breeding pens I may need another incubator. Sounds like I better visit the Brinsea page and see what kind of trouble I can get into.

How many Icelandic pullets do you have? How old are they? You may be overrun with "incubators" before you know it!!

I've discovered one of my roosters only produces baby roos.

Thankfully he is a temporary rooster, but he is still out there running with the hens. He should be going to a different house as soon as his new family finishes his coop, hope they finish it today!

My other roo, a nice 6 month splash orp is still being chased around by the mature hens.

At least the hens are laying!


Brinsea is wonderful -- last year we had several months of hatch-alongs, which they generously sponsered. They have a facebook page which has active participation - and monthly prizes.

I was given a dozen duck eggs to hatch...I'm gonna set them today, because the people who gave them to me want to sell any chicks that hatch. They said I can have as many duck eggs as the ducks lay, so I will have more to set for the Easter hatch! YAY!
