Mahonri's 3rd Annual, BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!

rain!! well, maybe sprinkles. Don't think it is a serious storm, just a wetting but I don't think today will hit the high 70's like it did yesterday. (which is fine by me!) Warm weather makes me want to plant the garden, but that should wait a bit longer.

silly question... what's up with the posting numbers? How can this post be #3361 of 3360? Shouldn't it be 3361 of 3361? Would a second cup of coffee help me figure it out??

btw, yummy looking bread!! and I wait with bated breath for Alaskan surprises!

Just for the record, I made popcorn and spilled a bunch of it all over the counter and floor.

That's what housedogs are for or for some people, house chickens.

There is no five second rule around here. With four large dogs in the house, anything dropped is caught in mid-air. And if for some reason they do miss something, like they were in a coma, you just point with your toe and it's GONE.

That sounds like here..food items rarely reach the floor and if by chance they do, they are gone before you can look at them. The cats are actually a lot quicker than the dogs and far worse beggars.

Well the high is supposed to be in the 50's today but yesterday it certainly did not look like spring at the big coop on the hill.

The chickens in the big coop were not impressed . . .

Nor were the ones in the Keeneland coop . . .

Tobasco, the rooster, finally talked his girls into coming out - after he fell out the door trying to dance for them while standing in the doorway! Wish I could have gotten a pic of that, lol!

This was the only girl at the big coop brave enough to check out the snow and it didn't take her long to decide that it wasn't very interesting.

My favorite kind of snow though, as it will be all gone tomorrow with highs in the 60's - yahoo!

NEED TO MARK MY PLACE, AND CAN DO IT WITH HAPPY NEWS. MY FIRST CORONATION CHICK HATCHED LAST NIGHT.

Congrats! Now send some of that luck my way please. I have 1 Coronation Sussex and 1 Light Sussex egg left out of 10 in my hatch that is due this Friday. The PO was not kind to them at all - 8 of the 10 had detached air cells. Keeping my fingers crossed that they will actually hatch.

We've had rain, snow and sleet this morning. The rain is normal. The snow and sleet not so normal for here on the Oregon coast!

Rain, Snow and Sleet! on the Oregon Coast.

You live in the area I want to move to when I retire. I love to visit Florence and Newport OR.
