Quote:
tha hens will get to 18lbs and toms 23lbs. this is at less than a year old.

Might you have some eggs for after this hatch? I would love to throw some in with my BR eggs and have a mix. C'mon SCG, we can do a turkey hatch after this one!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!! I would say good morning to each of you by name but I don't have that much time after reading 200+ posts.

My emu kids had a visitor today...... a brooder jumper.....

She looked at them..............

And then, looked at herself.................

And then, screamed bloody murder, "GET ME OUTTA HERE !"

Too Cute!

not a good day, contemplating going to the ER. If you believe in prayer, pray for me.

Thanks for the prayers. I know they worked.

I burnt myself by spilling some boiling hot soup on me last night. Most painful thing I've ever experienced (and I've had 3 kidney stones)

I think I'll be OK.

Many thanks to Kathy who stuck with me for a couple hours into the wee morning hours.

I'm going to try and go to work.

I could still use all your prayers so keep them coming..

You take care and don't over do it. Hope your burn heals quickly!

Hello all! I'm just now joining in on this hatch. I wasn't sure if I would have any eggs, but decided yesterday to go ahead and get some. I'll be setting bantam cochins and silkies. I'm putting duck eggs in, too, but they won't be hatching until a week later....I hope!

Welcome to hatch-a-long craziness!

Dance magic dance!

I'm getting some of these BTW, hopefully in time for the hatch! ^

You're getting David Bowie?

Oh, wait . . . Polish chickens. That's cool too!

THE BROODIES ARE COMING!!!!

Me too! I have TWO girls screaming at me from the nest box that they want to be in the hatch-a-long. If SCG can enter her freezer, can't I enter my broodies as participants?

I just signed up for the Hatch-A-Long yesterday!

I'm super excited to join everyone. I must confess that I feel like either the luckiest or most blessed person in the world.

1-I'm so thankful for a great husband who must love me a bunch to put up with all my hobbies! I BEGGED for a Cricut machine at Christmas. He gladly bought me one...but, I haven't used it for 3 months. When I asked if I could take it back and get an incubator instead, he said, "Sure, you can do whatever you want!". Up to now I've been using borrowed incubators. I ordered a Circulating Air Hova Bator on Sunday which should get here next week.

In the meantime, I can add more eggs to the still-air bator I'm using until the new one arrives.

2-Also, I found local Blue/Black/Splash Silkie eggs.

I've bought baby silkie chicks from this breeder before, but didn't realize that she sold fertile eggs too. I'm really happy to be able to start my little flock of silkies with such beautiful parent birds. BTW-she has ribbons and awards to prove their quality.

Hoping to get some good genetics.

I can't wait to start this Easter Hatch-A-Long. It is so fun to have hatch buddies....especially some of you more experienced hatchers!

Welcome!

I'm in! I wasn't even going to join until I realized the 12+ bantam cochin eggs I just won on Ebay will coincide perfectly with the Hatch-Along! Happy hatching, everyone!

Another hatch-a-long participant!

Here's the weather forecast for the next 5 days over the pass. The pass I have to cross to get my eggs for this hatch. Well most of my eggs.

Wow, now I know what people mean when they have 200+ post to catch up on. It was worth it though. One of our Nigerian Dwarf does had FIVE kids today!

For an idea of their size, (my wife is 5'2" (really 5"1', but ....)

And of course there was an audience in the cheap seats, but with a birds eye view

Soooo cute! I hope mama has lots of patience . . . and milk!

Whew! Finally caught up. Now to go say good morning to my chickens.

People who want to see tetris stacking, do a search on tetris and you will get some photo results.

I did this, and even sent a pm to daisychick ("incubator Tetris Master Consultant") and she sent me some more photos.

And then I went out and bought another incubator!

Ok.. caught up here.... now to start to pack up egg that need to get out today then barn chores. My kids have 1/2 day of school today....my day is already flying by me.

days until we set chicken eggs!
Icon_chicken8.gif
Get ready to set Bobwhite quail tomorrow. Be sure to visit Post # 1 after your eggs are all set to enter how many eggs you set because of this Hatchalong. If you set a little early or a little late, that is fine, if you put them in the incubator or under a broody because of this Hatchalong, it counts in the total eggs set!!
