I thought I heard peeping from the brinsea last night, which didnt make sense, as the next batch of eggs isnt due until next week.
Then I was on the phone with a customer, and she asked, "DO I HEAR PEEPING?!" So I turned around to look and I have 2 baby ducks!! MY FIRST HATCHED DUCKS!!
Now if only we could find my stinking camera so I could take some stinking pictures!!!!

I'm really getting in over my head this time. I'm going to be double stacking too in my Genesis and attempting to incubate two sets of eggs at the same time. My current hatch is due the 20th (47 eggs!), but I need to set about a dozen eggs for my son's kindergarten class for an Easter hatch. I need the new eggs to hatch between the 4th and the 6th while the kids are in school before Easter. I'll be incubating them at home then taking the bator to the school for "lock down" and hatching.

It'll be a gamble, but I think I can do it I'm going to double stack the new eggs on top of the first batch. Hand turning them, while the auto turner does the others. When the first eggs hatch are ready to hatch, I'll put the second set of eggs in an egg carton (to keep them clean)...Quickly clean and sanitize the bator after the first hatch is done (think of a hen getting of the nest for a few minutes) and put the second set back in. It's going to be a pain in the butt, but I think I can do it. Wish me luck

My Emu eggs came in the mail today!!!

Oh My Goodness! The eggs are huge!

The tan egg in the middle is one of the 12 LF Buff Orpington eggs from Hinkjc that came in the mail today also.
That is a Quarter in front of the eggs.

I would love to have some ( I did when I was a kid) but DH would have a fit LOL. And I hate to say it, but when you find your camera...the batteries will probably be dead

I'd love to join the hatch! I'll be setting 9 Marans eggs in my Brinsea (receiving eggs from PinkChick in a couple days, not sure which types of Marans yet)
