ok went and got my eggs from the PO was told i had 2 got there they had 3 the third box was looked over becasue wrong address and no phone numbers on it and was found under other mail and the box has a nice gash in it going to open it up and hope the eggs are ok

This will be my first time. I bought a LG incubator w/ egg turner and added a fan and a knob to the temp control stick. I fired it up last night and had it even out right at 99.5 in 3-4 hours. I added water and monitored it a while longer. I had to up the temp a bit this morning and then after dinner tonight I am setting the eggs. My eggs are from my own backyard flock. I have about 14-15 green EE's, 7 EE/BCM mix, and another 6-8 mixes between my EE roo and RIR, black and red star production hens. I just picked up a new FBCM roo last night and would like to find a few hens to go with him for future projects. Here's looking forward to a successful Easter hatch!

He did send Jaers, 19, plus 10 Delawares, 4 red Dorkings, and 4 black Orps. The remaining ones are a mystery - there is one brown chipmunk that has 5 toes on each foot, no feathers on the legs, so ?? I may post some pics in the what breed thread when I have 2 seconds to sit down. He also said he would send the RC dorkings later if he could.

Could they be SG Dorkings?

I raised some Midget whites they were really cool I would gobble at them and they would gobble back.


I got my final box of eggs from Renee some Bantam Frizzled Cochin eggs. I will be getting my quail tomorrow but I don't have to set those Sat as they hatch sooner.

Thanks AK Michelle. I was on my kindle Fire and had hit the button multiple times but when it came to posting I lost them all. I was not going to go back and reread all 20 pages to find them again lol.

This is why I don't use my Nook Color to go to this site. The new format is not worth using on it.

I had collected some of my own W/BWA eggs, but have too many eggs being shipped in, so put 8 of them under a broody last night. This will be her second time so things should go well.

Hooray!!! DH says my Basque eggs have arrived! I won't be able to check them until after work, but now I won't have to keep the other shipped eggs waiting too long.

HELP!!!!! Incubators malfunctioning! my LG that I added a computer fan to is having hot spots. Upper right corner, 103, everywhere else 98. I rotated and tested with multiple thermometers and they all agree I have a hot spot. And on top of it my 18 mo. old broke my homemade bator, and I thought it was fixed but I can't get the temps up. Ughhhhh!!!
