OK, I've read the sheet at least 50 times on how to raise and lower the temp in a 1588

This morning it was running perfect at 99.5

I've reset it to the factory setting at least 10 times.

I've tried to up the temp 1 degree at a time.

I even tried to up the temp by 5 degrees.

I can't get it to go above 97 degrees now.

So... I guess I set 28 eggs instead of 74

I turned off the 4 toggle and turned on the 7 and then the 8. Like I did when I called GQF yesterday and the temp was fine. Now it does not change

Does anyone on here know how to make it work? Any suggestions at all?

Um, should I turn my eggs today or wait?? I keep seeing people saying they won't turn on their turners till a week or something like that. Of course I don't have one and the thought of turning 62 eggs everyday twice a day has me wishing I did! Not to mention looking at everyone's photos makes me want to get on your levels quick! lol

Well I cannot get caught up with this thread

..my part that was special ordered and I paid extra to have it Fed Ex'd is not here

so I will be starting my turkeys in the little incubators along with my shipped eggs that shouldn't wait and by Tuesday come hook or crook I'll set the rest....you do not want to know how I feel about GQF

but Surehatch is in LA and they have my part so it can be here soon. I now will set more eggs than Kathy because I'm filling up that sportsman and figuring out how to hatch all those chicks separate that need to be grrrrrr I wonder if I know someone who has a hatcher and doesn't use it yes in our chicken club people have incubators they barely use

You said, "Any suggestion at all" so here goes. I would turn them all off, unplug it and wait 5 minutes, then plug it back in and flip the toggle that it was on the last time it was correct. Then give it plenty of time (24 hours +) to let everything stabilize before you make any more adjustments. But what do I know........

Do not even mess with it for at least 24 hours. It will regulate. Putting the eggs in it will make the temp go down, but it will come back up.

Turn it off, change the rocker switch. Turn it back on.

It needs to be off to reset the temperature. Try leaving it unplugged for a minute. Also, get a kid with good eye site or use a magifying glass to make sure you don't have two pins in or off at the same time. There is a wide adjustment you can do with this model to hatch reptiles, so the temp can go way down if you click it wron.

Also, you are supposed to leave it alone for 24 hours after you set the eggs. If it is still 98 tomorrow, then adjust it.
