Back a way and get it more time to adjust! Don't panick! I had a broody that went to the neighbor's yard and made a nest. Brought me home 8 fuzzy check babies and it's been so cold. I know she left them, cause she'd come home to eat and hang out. Been anywhere from high 30's to hugh 50's out.

Sit on your hands.... NOW!


Don't worry until it's time and 20 minutes isn't enough time to be sure it won't go to high if you adjust.

Wow only 3 pages in the few hours I've been gone (we re-topped a table in the basement and put some trim on it).

I caught two of my male ducks trying to drown each other in the pool today. They're only 12 weeks old...

Ok, I couldn't handle the pressure, temp was going back down, had to turn the knob. Now I will give it an hour before I panic again.

) I may have steadied my temps! *Knock on wood* They have been ranging from 99.5 - 100.1 since last night. I'm very happy, but cautious as well - I don't want to jinx it! However, this morning my fan (a pc fan connected to a 12V adapter) stopped working! Let me tell you, I was panicking. It just turned out, with the help of my cat, the electrical tape had slipped a bit and the wires had stopped touching. I quickly fixed it and (for right now) the fan is buzzing along!

Yep your babies are in there! I had not adjusted the temp until just now, before I had only put in a plug and tried to get the room temp back up. We need your babies to hatch! Lol but I barely moved my knob a hair.

I was able to get some eggs and set them sunday. Nothing great. set 30 mixed eggs. I have no idea what breeds or should i say mixed breeds. the eggs are dark to light brown.. blue white..light blue to a greenish blue. I'm pretty sure all the chickens that laid these are mutts.

Ok... this is my official post for entering the Week One contest for my "invention" that helps with my hatch. It is a Lego divider that I use when turning and hatching. Keeps my eggs separated, makes it easier to keep air cells in the big end of the egg, and helps me figure out who hatched from what by keeping the egg shell in the appropriate space ( I have a little diagram I make to match that goes along with at the start of the hatch)



I do not know why there are 4's written on the eggs... DH set them for me, and still won't tell me what it means. Number of weeks I am grounded per chick that hatches??? That's my guess lol
