No but I felt them and they are hot. I'm so sick of crapy hatches. Why didn't I check when I got home? I checked at 2:25 when I walked out the door and they were fine.

My impression was that they don't care. THe rep kept justifying the situation . . . did refund my money though saying she wanted to have a happy customer. Really?? THen supply appropriate boxes for priority shipping to withstand their own shipping. Post Master was nice through all this but his hands are tied. SHipping via the USPS works as we all know, just theur can be a few snafu's along the way.

Well, today is Day 13 (312 hours). My picture was rushed on this particular evening (these pics are all my Easter Hatch eggs which are 2 days ahead of the rest), so it's not-so-great.


But look what happens in Photoshop when I "equalize."

Much more interesting! I managed better pics for Day 14, so - until tomorrow!

BTW, I think my air cells are definitely a bit small, but others have air cells which are huge, so I am just staying the course on that one...

SO cool! Very revealing. WOuld you consider placing all the ph otos in a single thread with both point of view? LOL

just pulled 6 more eggs last night bringing my total down to 47 from 71

only 8 silkies left (out of 28 set) i am not holding out much hope for them

good news is all 10 duck eggs seem to be going strong (out of 11 set)

and i have only had to pull one of my own eggs so far, but it was fertile and just died so i have 100% fertility in my eggs

Temps are down in the hatcher and I added water, just in case I didn't kill them all. The only eggs I can see through are from my Silver Phoenix and I didn't see any movement at all.

So my two Ameraucana co-broodys seemed to forget they were sitting on eggs today. This is the first time they have both been off the nest at the same time. They were off for a while and didn't show any signs of going back on, so I took their 3 eggs and gave them to my BLR Wyandotte. She took them immediately. I've never had broody chickens before, so I'm going by what the Wyandotte does. She gets off her nest once a day to eat, poo, and dust bathe. And she squawks the ENTIRE time. She's off for maybe 10-15 minutes then beelines back to her nest. These two Ameraucanas were off for 30 minutes when I decided to take their eggs. It was warm out today, probably close to 90, so I don't think they cooled down too much. I'd rather have just one hen taking care of the chicks, anyway. About an hour later, one of the Ameraucanas went back to the nest and the other joined her at nighttime. I was hoping they go back to laying! Anyway, I have all 6 eggs under the BLR Wyandotte.
