Oh that makes me so happy! I'm not sure why but it bummed me out when I was told by someone that lived there that they had never heard it called El Toro Mountain. They swore I was remembering it wrong. The most vivid memories of my childhood are from area and that mountain. My happiest memories as a kid.
That is the reason I pushed DH into living in the country for all these years. We finally moved to some acreage last August and he LOVES it!!! We would both like to move back to Santa Clara County though. It is beautiful and rugged here and there's lots of room to stretch out but we miss the kids and the grandkids and all our friends. But I would want land and a "country" feel and that is harder to come by there these days.
My tiny tiny egg, a blue or black silkie. Its had a very active baby in there. So. IF it hatches out
will this baby be okay with the others?? Will they pick on it?? Do I need to move it with another smaller chick or what??? I got a couple of small eggs but this one looks the size of a quail egg almost. Ok maybe not AS small as a quail egg but yeah....lol
After hatching and drying off I do sometimes move much smaller chicks to a separate brooder if they are having trouble. Always with at least one hatchmate though.
