I'm not saying that we should have no regard for animals at all. I'm currently applying for vet school. I do think that people have a very crazy idea about animals.
Animals are not people and they shouldn't be treated as such. We have been commanded by God to be good stewards and also to be in charge of the animals on earth. They weren't put here to be our equals.
If people worried more about the welfare of children it wouldn't be a big deal. There are children in my home town that don't have coats in the winter and don't have meals on Christmas and there are people out there that see nothing wrong with that as they send money to the animal rights cooookoooos!
