MAINE chicken stocks, swaps and shows 2012

Looking forward to the swaps all starting up. I am looking to get some barnyard bantams for a few eggs but more for bug patrol. I would prefer to get adults at least not chicks that still need to be under a heater. I will take roosters too but please not just roosters. Would like hens with those boys. Will anyone be bringing anything to the upcoming swaps that might be what I'm looking for? Excited to get back into chickens. BIG beutiful coop with lots of barnyard just need the chickens now.

I will possibly be going to the 18th swap in wilton! I will be bringing some silkies, a bunch of dwarf rabbits, and some angora's and jersey woolie rabbits! And some accessories like a water heater tray and some poultry waterers!

tayfray, you might post this on the wilton swap thread. it's called wilton swap april 1st, they seem to be using that one for who is bringing what.

went to TSC in waterville, we seem to be making headway getting a swap scheduled. looking at tenative dates and scoped out an area of the parking lot that the staff thought we should limit our area to (don't worry, it's plenty big and still gives the store plenty of room for people coming in)
I am so excited!!!!

oh, and FYI, chickens are not allowed to live within city limits of waterville, that's any chickens not just roosters. so we have to put up a sign that informs the public, that shouldn't be a problem to do.
