Maine Chicken stocks, Swaps and shows August- Dec 2012 -- update is on post #125, p, 13

Love your new avatar picture!!!!

Its too bad they didn't put a drop behind the cage. That would have been a really nice shot!! Just a board next time, foam board that isn't really big but is a neutral color and then it would show off just your bird.

I took that myself. that is not her professional picture. once that comes i will post it up. I also had my frizzled silkie, my khahi silkie and my blue silkie done by the photographer. can't wait to see how they came out (they are on a white back drop for those pictures)

and thank, I love it too. my prior one was her as a baby.

Well you can take foam board with you just as easily as a professional!

For the record I would love to see some Coro Sussex... or buy a few even so if you don't show let me know because while you ARE far away I would like to get a few. I am glad to hear that the LF entries are usually higher and I am glad there are other people interested in showing LF.
There was a man there with some nice black cochins for sale. I wish I had gotten his name- nice man.
Yes, there are other people who raise and show LF Cochins.....

If you were taking about the man who had black bantam cochins for sale - that was Dick Blackman

Thank you, but no, I don't want bantams. I saw a few of your birds at the show. I recognized "rufus'? as your avatar but not you. The man I speak of was next to Mr Hayes on the sale yard. No worries. I'm not in a hurry.

I have bantam cochins and LF cochins

I was the lady pushing the young man in a wheelchair

Do you have anyone looking for ducks?
This was my first year showing and my birds did very well at Fryeburg Fair. I hope to go to more fairs and shows with them next year!

any blue swedish? there were lots of people at the windsor fair looking for those and i'm looking for cayuga eggs (emptied) dark as possible for my egg carvings.
