Maine Coon Cats? Cat advise as well please :)

Our Maine Coon (yes, a real one) absolutely HATES dogs.

We don't really know why either.. one time he attacked my mom while she was trying to get him off of a shelf because there was a dog just in the room.

He was breaking things, and she just tried to move him, but she ended up in the ER. /img/smilies/hmm.png


Also, the really fine clumping kind is what we use and works great.

Pretty sure it's the kind with the odor blocking stuff.. sorry, I can't remember what it's called. /img/smilies/sad.png

Is there any advice u could maybe share with me about what i could do to maybe get them to like each other? He is my first mainecoon n was given to me n i love him he dont try hurting the dogs

I've had a Maine coon before, she was beautiful, but very mean she would just tear me up.

Now I only take in mutts.

My big boy spazz was giving to me n he is as sweet,gentle,loving,protective, best cat ever just when he comes down stairs n sees the 1 dog chewy its instant growling n he gets worse if i go n stand by him n try to comfort him i keep telling him to just jump down there lay into the dogs n get it done n over with cuz he is twice their size but he wont so i dunno what to do...ughhh
