Hello!! I have wanted to get some chicks for quite a few years now. I grew up in a big city in Georgia and now live in a small town in Maine and have become quite the homebody. I love growing vegetables and spending time out in my yard in the warmer months and find indoor projects for most of the colder months. I just ordered my chicks today and can pick them up May 1st. I'm excited and thankful that I have the next month to prepare for them. I am completely new at this and have been talking to some local farmers and reading a lot about raising chickens. I'm so glad I found this site and all of the helpful information everyone provides.
