Maine Swaps 2011

oh no, I got the same email, now which one to go to? lewiston, sanford or wilton?
decisions,decisions,decisions
it would be great if these didn't all fall on the same dates. I think lewiston and wilton are going to be pulling buyers away from each other. I don't think sanford will be as affected just due to distance from lewiston. next week there is only one listed, the one for skowhegan.

It is difficult but you cann't wait around for a date to be free. There are so many swaps now -- which is awsome -- You just have to decide which is closer . I personally went to both and if I wasn't working I would go to wilton . It was by far much busyer then lewiston . I've been waiting for Louise to call and let me know what date she had decided on --unfortunately for me this date I was scheduled to work on

OH MAN! We were planning on only going to Skowhegan but now I want to go to Wilton as they are the same distance from us! I don't think I will have any of my soaps ready, but maybe I can convince my hubby to go to both?! I have some adult rabbits I want to swap fore more breeding stock as well as some other things....We will see! But I will deffinitally be at Skowhegan!

I know that is tuff

Lewiston is closer to us by about 1/2 hour. Wouldn't it be great if some of these were on Sundays!!! That way we could have two Sats & Suns. I really liked the person that was doing the Augusta swaps last year, we could always work out a Sunday, she is out of a little while

Anyone interested in some adult hen turkeys? The two older Royal Palms are proven and we hatched from them last year, in fact the young hen is from one of them. We are redoing all our outside runs and fencing in the front yard for the birds and need the room for grow out birds... Can bring any of them to a swap if there is any interest (that will also help decide where we may be going lol)

Also have some young Cavies if there is any interest can bring a couple, they are 8 & 10 weeks old. We were going to the Show in MA on Sunday but not going to make it and have a couple that don't need to stay

PM if you would like and can give you more info on them. They would be $10.00 each or deal if you wanted more than one, they love to be together and the males raised together get along great!!!

originally I set up sundays for all augusta swaps but the manager changed it saying they had more staff on saturday to handle the influx. I think having them on the same day overall will hurt the stores. and since some people work saturday's they can't make it to these resulting in less bonus sales for the store. maybe I can give them more of a push to change to sunday for the august swap if there is one.

I think the plan is as long as fed-ex drops off my soap supplies sometime today we should make wilton, If not theres not really a point in going since we will only have a few things ready

Natural goats milk soap. Ordered some natural and organic ingriedients for scents and etc. Should have Plain, Oatmeal Milk & Honey, Sweet Cranberry, Orange Peel, and Lavender scents.

I was sorting chicks tonight, decided I want to grow out what I have just a bit more. so I won't be going this weekend.
I will have orpingtons in black, black and blue barred and the rest will be grown out further. some really young wyandottes and one marans mix. 3 bantam wyandottes (must all go together as they are the last of that group- blue, gold laced? and I forget, I think the last is a different shade of blue)
