The fairs give out money awards which to me is the fair "renting" birds to fill their poultry show for the public that churns through the building/tent.

Fancy poultry shows with "points" - that's show quality competition......the place to bring your best stuff and guard them well.

There's show quality and then there's SHOW QUALITY

I won't be going to either but I grew up in Jay and just had to post in this thread. It's not often you see Wilton Maine in anything.

Thinking about going to the TSC Farm Swap in Augusta on Saturday, or Wilton on Sunday. Does anyone have any Maran, Wyandotte, or Polish pullets or laying hens they will be selling ?

pretty quiet on here, how did the swap go? did you buy anthing exciting? I wish I could have gone but I was just too tired this morning and the drive a bit far.
