Maine

I checked in with the gal I got my girls from to see how her flock was doing and if she lost any. So good news hers are all healthy doing well so guess it was just one of those things. Feel better about that and she has more I can purchase. They would be from the same hatch and same age ;)

Well that's good to know. Hopefully smooth sailing from this point forward!

You should get a turken frizzle.

I know what I'm getting you for Christmas.

LOL. Actually that might be okay. I keep saying to the kids they are interesting but if I was to have one I want it to have black skin. I have a GF with some. How about you get a frizzled something and I will give you the NN she sends me and if there is a black skinned frizzled turken out of the roulette table I will take it!

This is totally not chicken related, but: here goes: I'm requesting that any one who is so motivated to make a trip to the local blood donation center and offer up a pint of your blood. My motivation is due to communication with a BYC person in southern Oregon who is battling cancer. Of course, your donation in Maine will not directly benefit her, but it could very well save someone's life locally. Personally, I would be a widow if not for strangers taking an hour out of their life to save my husband's life. We all know someone who has benefitted from blood products, and unfortunately, chances are pretty good that you or someone in your immediate family will at some time. So, if you can, please take an hour to donate! If you have any questions about what is involved in the process, feel free to PM me. I know it can be intimidating the first time, however the worst part of it is making up your mind to do it!

I am more than willing to but the last time I gave blood it took over an hour before I could leave. I dont mind the sight of blood but my body did not appreciate giving up a pint. The same thing might not happen again but without a designated driver to get me home I dont dare to try again. While my dogs are licensed they arent allowed to drive the truck and there is no one else around whom I can ask.

That's why you wanted me to keep Thriller. I'll have to lock him up with Elsa for a few weeks and then hatch the insane progeny from that mating for you.

It took 4 nurses to administer my Tdap recently (I was well overdue, my last one was in high school). I can't imagine how many people it would take for me to give blood. I'd happily do it if you can find the people. Maybe we can get a driver for Widget and she can be one of the posse to hold me down and threaten me.

I'll have to wait until tomorrow at the earliest for my donation because

~PUMPKIN BEER IS OUT TODAY~

Love Fall, its pumpkin pie time for the big kids

Yes, both Sam Adams Octoberfest and Shipyard Pumpkinhead is out and well stocked in stores. Life's good.
I also just picked up some Devil's Cut from Jim Beam which is surprisingly good.

Thanks for the reminder. I'll try to get there, soon.:)
