Maine

No power loss here, although our lights are flickering this morning.

I am very frustrated by lack of internet, or I should say, failing IPad. Connection is deathly slow all of a sudden, but DH's tablet is running fine. Thought we finally had the connection fixed by messing with the settings, and now I haven't been able to check email for 2 days (says something about user name and password being wrong, even though none of that has changed). I can look at my email on DH's tablet, but he is always on that in the morning.

I sometimes wonder what I used to do while I had coffee or tea and breakfast. Made lists on little scraps of paper, no doubt. Maybe I can get this to post...

Anyone else with Central Maine Power losing power in the middle of every Thursday night, same time? This is really starting to be irritating.
No, but fairpoint's internet access has gone in and out a lot lately. It's not a biggie on my kindle (it stays connected during the internet greyout), but it's a pain in the tush when you're trying to stream a movie through the laptop.

In a taste test Midget Whites were on top for flavor.

Still no darn eggs here. I have them closed in now so they can't hide anything. Gosh, hurry up. The lights are on and I am running out of both patience and eggs.

I haven't had any trouble (knock-on-wood) with CMP.

This warm weather is giving me a taste of what to expect come spring... a lot of mud in the run! I've been reading up on possible solutions, but any tried and true methods or recommendations?

Quick fixes for mud would include pallets, or rocks so the chickens can walk around in the run.

Forever fix would include possibly a drain, but at the least filling with dirt.

Are your EEs the ones who are just a couple weeks older than mine?
YEP. Planning to get my replacement Doms from the same supplier in the spring. Hoping to either do a hatch to coincide, getting some meaties from same source, probably both. A friend has EE including roo, PBR and RIR, and will supply hatching eggs. Thinking that her EE roo over PBR may possibly produce a sex linked olive egger. Setting up coop so I can brood outdoors after the first week. Spring can't come soon enough! How's work?

Sorry to hear about all the electronic problems going around. How frustrating. I called CMP and they have "no idea" why my power is going out (didn't you come to fix it?) on Thursday nights at the same time for the same length.

pallets were my game plan for tomorrow. It's only flooded in one corner, but it's their favorite corner as it gets the most Sun.

Thanks... where do you guys get pallets? I'll have to keep my eyes open for them.
