26" or so here... my UTV plow didn't stand a chance, got 40' on a 1/4 mile driveway. Called someone with a plow truck and they gave up a hundred yards or so in from the road before calling it quits... we're stuck until a bucket loader can get over here, tomorrow at the earliest. Birds are closer to the road than the house, so they went without today... no idea how we'll get water to them if we don't get dug out tomorrow.

We're calling it 30". Even though DH has a tractor with a big snowplow, he had to clear snow twice, once in the morning and once in the late afternoon and then it kept snowing after dark. He's trying to use the bucket to lift big piles out of the way, but it doesn't reach high enough anymore!

I did manage to sort of shovel into both coops, although I waded down our normally shoveled paths through deep snow and then just shoveled right around the door. Too much lifting for this sore shoulder. And of course, I filled my coat pocket with eggs and then had the brilliant idea to do a little shoveling on the way back. Big mess in my pocket!

Today I hope to clear off the hoop coop. No school again (they haven't even plowed the lot). I ought to be finishing school this year about when SCG gets her door open!

Now to figure out where this next 14" will go....

So sorry you all got belted

i wish i could help you out
though its been awhile since we've had a really good storm, snowmobilers are having a great day today

That's what we needed. Right down the street from us so he drove the machine up here, but may still be worth a call if you're still stuck: Wayne Chadwick 445-3500

Cost us $200 for the 1/4 mile of driveway and path to the greenhouse, he widened everything real nice so that I can keep up with the next storms with my plow. Note the little rounded building up and to the center, that's our hoop house where the birds are. Thankful we were able to get to them today.
