Maine

ME forum is sure getting busy. Chicks and eggs every where! What a treat! My G-dtr and I planted some stinky salmon skin in the green house with onions, lettuce, spinnach and radish over it. Chicks enjoyed their first cut worm! The self seeding lettuce is sprouting, as well as the lettuce that I planted last fall starting new growth. Should have a little bit of salad in a few weeks. Plan to start a meal worm culture under the kitchen sink, bought the worms today. Starting cattle panel tractor this week. You know it's spring when kids get bikes out.

Great chick photos, ashandvine! What breed is that cute chick?

Fun that a bunch of us set eggs at the same time. When is your birthday, Widget? Mine are hatching around my birthday too!

darn, maybe I should set my eggs early. but then again, I have a hatch at least once/week so within a few days, I'll have had something hatch or something will be due. sizzles are laying again so soon i'll be collecting those for hatching.

Well, I have eggs constantly going in the bator for a little while longer so can I be considered a hatcher alonger too?

Little does this chicken know it is standing in a pot that has Rosemary. They are all like this except ONE who has... three splashes of black down its back. I totally need a better set up for keeping hatches separate.

Yes chicken and rosemary go together very well. I like it.

Well, I'm down to 30 eggs in the bator from 50.

I guess I'll just have to get more chickens from the swaps to make up for it.

Adorable chick!

I reset an incubator too. Hopefully I'll finsh adding eggs today.

I have more than enough chicks right now, but my frizzled black mottled bantam cochin rooster is suddenly inspired. He's in with a few black hens and partridges hens!
