Kinda... Heavy feathered breeds: Cochins, Brahmas, Wyandotte or Langshans.

I have Blue/Black/Splash Wyandottes that I'm working on getting to breed standard and are looking pretty nice, but they can't be shown because the color variety isn't recognized by the APA. I have my first test hatch in the incubator now. Happy to chat more via pm if it's a variety you'd be interested in.

I know somebody else here has Blue Laced Red Wyandottes and sells chicks on occasion, but I can't remember who...

Man... miss a day and miss a lot of posts! Yikes.
I am so tickled. It looks like I have almost all my lists of folks who wanted chicks from me last year able to take their chicks in the next couple weeks and when the next hatch a few are spoken for. Phew. Anyone else want some Russian Orloff, EE, Marans/Marans project chicks?
I have onions coming up! They sprouted so fast out of no where. he he he. I put the tray on top of the incubator so it stayed warm. I was proud of that, like last year when in the 'off season' I used the incubator to make yogurt. I thought I was so clever. I like coming up with these odd things that work. Like this: I have a hatcher now- great invenstment, but it was so humid when they were all hatching like gangbusters they the chicks stayed wet. I happen to love the fluff out stage. In order to help facilitate that I took the chicks out and put them in a large plastic strawberry container lined with a wash cloth. So, they went into a warm but drier environment, helped the humidity a little in the bator and the container works so well for keeping them off the eggs/turner. It already has holes, is big enough for several chicks at a time and completely see through. I was proud of my ingenuity.
Oh... and there was a big goose fight started that I broke up this morning. I guess the hormones are finally here.

Yeah, Ash, please clarify regarding your chick fluffing. I made yogurt last week with a heating pad. It smells wonderful, but I have yet to try it. I candled the
?able eggs last night, and found that all but 2 are growing. I got to see chicks dancing in a couple of the eggs. That is so much fun to see. So, for now, I'm at 26/28, but a lot can happen between now and hatch. If any one is interested in barn yard mix chicks, please PM me. They are EE roo over EE, PBR, RIR. Hatch date is around 4/4, and these chicks are coming from nice big eggs.

Well the incubator is up and running with four turkey eggs inside. No idea if they are even fertile but it will be fun to find out.

Next weekend I should be picking up 3 White Leghorn and 5 Speckled Sussex chicks. Let the peeping begin.

Americana hatching eggs ordered woohoo!!!! I am so excited! !! I decided to join the hatch-a-long after I put 14 eggs in the incubator. ..and then had a broody hen sit on 5. She was faithfully on them 72+hrs...but saw the others dust bathing in the sun and never looked back :(
