Maine

Got my coop wired for the most part today to put a light an a socket in. Girls wanted to go to bed before I got the light installed though. Blocked their inside eves off yesterday with hardware cloth since 7 of them have always slept up there instead of the roost. Silly girls! I don't think they were to happy about that but don't want them sleeping up there this winter. Waiting for them to all get used to cuddling before I put plastic over their front eves for winter so the wind don't blow over their roost while they are sleeping. I know their back eves will be plenty of ventilation this winter.

Love the photo bucka!!

Yes, I believe it was ashndvine who planned the swap. I think I was at camp that weekend so couldn't go.

I will have to try the starburst & tootsie roll rat bait. I added some Fluff to my Plaster of Paris bait but they didn't eat it. I'll have to try the peanut butter again.

I have a friend who breeds them.  I'll let you know if he wants to sell some.  What are you looking for?

I'm actually looking for frillbacks. I would consider a different breed though. I'm not looking to show or race or even breed for profit. I'm looking for very friendly, or young enough to imprint. I would even consider an older pair. But friendly is a must. My current pair(ferals) I hatched and hand fed and raised. They actually spend most of their time on my shoulder or coffee table!

Today, I went out and trenched 25' for my skirt around the run. Hope to get an other 25 - 40' done tomorrow. Who needs a gym membership. I'm thinking about planting mint or lemon balm along the west edge over the skirt. Any feed back whether and why that would be a good or a bad idea appreciated.
