Maine

UPDATE: her breathing is alot quieter tonight compared to earlier, she is now eating her second plate of scrambled eggs and bread with oil mixed with oyster shell and her crumble food, and moving around alot more. Her neck stretching and wide open mouth gasps have subsided alot. Not getting my hopes up but she looks and acts alot better. Not out of the woods yet though.

Busy couple days here. Moved all the girls into the barn for the winter yesterday since they only have summer tractors and the greenhouse isn't done yet... couldn't let them go through last nights freeze after being soaked from the rain.

Started Turkey butchering today... not looking forward to day two... they got bigger than estimated. Here's a 41lb dressed carcass... boy am I sore.

This a broad breasted white? What age? We have the same butchering table!!

Glad the bird seems to be improving, Diana. Keep her in (warm and protected) and keep pushing the high calorie foods.

She survived the night. She's still making the asthma attack breathing sound but she's going nuts in her box this morning, wondering if it is where it's laying time. Her droppings are small but gone from tiny brown and grey to small and brown. I am going to keep her in the house. She actually made some clucking noises this morning so far. Yesterday and last night never heard a peep out of her other theb the wheezing sound.

Can her eggs still be consumed where she is under the weather or whatever is wrong with her? Also, what do you recommend to feed her for high calorie foods?
