My blueberries were hit by some sort of fungus. It looks like witches broom. I need to prune them severely and see if I can eliminate it. Hoping the Juneberries are not susceptible.

I have Regent. It put out a couple of blossoms last year, but no fruit. I had ordered an other variety at the same time, but it never had any blooms and the leaf shape is very different. I'm wondering if they sent a mislabeled specimen. I took it out of the orchard, and it wintered over in a pot. I may plant it in an out of the way spot and try to find out what kind of tree it is. It's probably a weed! It's not a tree that's easy to kill since it spent most of last summer sitting in a pot, and all winter in the same pot, totally unprotected! If I go to the tree sale, I may take it along with me and see if they can identify it!Do you know what variety of June berry you have LG? I got "Regent", which is a small (short) variety. I thought maybe it was 4 years old, DH suggests 8. For years, it only produced a few berries, and they got some kind of spots on them and withered off. Then all of a sudden last year it was covered. We were enjoying them, a small handful at a time for a while, when I remarked out loud how it was strange the birds were not eating them. Two days later, every berry disappeared. This year, I will protect it.
We hope to try the "Apple Serviceberry" (20 - 25') this year, if there are any to be had. We placed an order, but that wasn't on our list back then.
I like low-bush blueberries 100x better than the high bush kind, but we did finally get some fruit off our high bushes last year. It is fun to be able to wander out in the yard and find fruit!
Wow. Did you lose your whole flock?
