Maine

I am in Windham. I only have one jubilee pair and was hoping to get two more pullets, I have 6 more chicks growing that hopefully some turn out to be pullets. The legbars I have are throwing 90% cockerals for some reason

. I finally just got two more pullets of those and have to quit hatching so I wont be offering any cream legbar pullets until at least fall when I hatch again.....and then it will be chicks since they are sexable at hatch. I won't know about jubilee pullets until these ones grow out....

I'm on the list for Breda and Isbar... Legbar cockerels here are pretty laid back, for those thinking about having them. I still have three for anyone wanting to breed.

I am hatching some breda in the next couple of days, I am keeping 2 pullets so it depends on what hatches. I had only set a few isbar eggs and am trying for 2 pullets too. If you want these breeds you will need to do straight run chicks or eggs....

I am so done with brooders, heat lamps, chick food, etc....even unplugged my other bator

Windham isn't awefully far. I would likd to have your jubilee cockrel and your 1 legbar if its ok with you. Are they both about the same age? Maybe I can make a plan to come pick them up this week? Let me know when is good for you? Hubby has softenend about it, he's really loving them but doesnt realize it yet! Thank you so much! That would give me 1/2 of 2 pairs!

no, they are not the same age, legbars are only 3 weeks old. don't have heat in the house but would need if they went outside. The jub orp is pretty big, I think he is 2 1/2 months old.

I put the legbar chicks on craigslist and still have no takers, they are running rampant thoughout the house as they keep escaping. dh said they are getting culled tonight.

The only other legbar I have is one that came directly from greenfire last year. I just haven't had the heart to cull him, even though he has no girls and is taking up a run I desperately need. We will be culling him this weekend if he is still here, I can't justify keeping him

I'd definately take the jub orp. And a legbar if you still don't have any takers. I have 3 week old barred rocks in the house now with no heat, the younger one can go in with them. Let me know and we can make arrangements for me pick up! Thanks.
