These guys are great, kinda bossy though haha. I need to buy them a small "pond" from the store... Not sure what to use yet.

Anyways the chicks are learning to roost... Check it out

I upgraded to bigger feeders and moved them to the finished brooder. Everything's going great.

I tell you what these guys grow fast. It's cool to see the chicks feathers coming in, especially on the wings. The Pekins are huge haha and the buff orpingtons are starting to get their "buff" color... No poopie butt still, how should I offer the yogurt? They don't seem interested much even when I sprinkle feed on top... What consistency should I be looking for? Thanks for anyone's time.

Also when should I add grit to the chicks diet? I bought a rubber feed container for a "pond" but the ducks don't dig it much... Any suggestions or advice on ducklings?

Everytime I try to share my experience on a forum I never have any participation, and in this case the pattern seems to continue. I don't understand if its lack of pizazz in my thread or if it gets lost in the midst of the others. So in other words I'm gonna sign out BYC and hope to figure out my flock on my own. Thanks for the info I've retained from your site and fare thee all well.

I try to post to as many threads that I can but usually (especially during the work/school week) people check their subscriptions then log off because they are pressed for time. If you have any questions I'd be glad to answer them for you. Please don't leave BYC!

I'd suggest that you start a new thread for a new question rather than adding to the old one. Folks rarely read past the first couple of posts so unless they follow the thread, they won't see new questions in an old thread.

And if you really want pizazz in a long thread, you have to open a can of worms. Photos of new chicks will get a few "awwws", questions will usually get some helpful answers... But open a can of worms and the chicken poop will fly. ;)

Oh, and I don't feed chickens yogurt. I do give them grit if they are getting anything other than chick feed. It ends up being pretty much week 1 because I brood outdoors and the light attracts insects. Chicks will eat a crane fly without hesitation. No ducks here.
