So, it's still a little chill here in northern MI.....so I'm asking for a friend.....my friend would like to know, have you ever been hit in the face by a piece of frozen poop that you are trying to scrape off of the poop board?

You must have a deep pan of PDZ?Never chiseled since using Sweet PDZ, just use a kitty litter scoop and a sifter. takes less than a minute to clean all the poop out. And yea been there and done that with scraping but never again.

I use thin layer and yes, juicy poops will freeze and stick, and yes they can go flying but never into my face.

A couple of mine still try to dust in the thin layer SMH.I keep the layer thin because some of the hens have it there heads that's a great place to dust bathe.
I sift every bit of the PDZ, using a short handled hoe and one of these mesh baskets. https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/1/...ch-x-9-inch-mesh-drawer-organizer-silver.htmlI used to use a thin layer but my gals never bother it so now I layer mine close to 1" thick and it it's much easier to scoop the poop!
