Make or female, and breed?

Am I correct that this is a female buff silver laced polish? A friend is giving it away and I am thinking of adding it to my flock if it's a female. Thanks!

I would have said it's male but I'm no expert particularly with polish.
The untidy crest and darker colouration on the wings are what I am basing my judgement on. I believe female polish have neater head gear and more even colouration. Definitely wait on other more experienced Polish keepers to confirm or otherwise, before you make the decision though.
If someone is "giving it away", usually it's a male.

Buff laced cockerel. You can see the wild, spiky crest, the hackle feathers, and in the back of the pic you can see saddle feathers hanging down in front of the tail. If you're looking for a lady, take a pass on this boy.
