I read about this and post #1 said it was so easy and it looked like it. Stopped at Lowe's for the pvc pipe. I got 4 inch because they're geese. I did not buy the 4 inch hole cutter drill because it was $20 plus the attachment $20. I got a little hack saw thing instead.
It took me 3 hours to put it together. Problem was I had to cut the hole. Then I had to modify the hole. Then I had a space around the hole. So I used about 1/3 of a tube of adhesive to keep the elbow in the hole. I hope no one sees it because it looks like I had an accident with the adhesive. It's the worst job I've ever done and it was so simple. My next one will be perfect.
My pros were that I angled the pipe so that it didn't come straight out of the hole but angled up to make it easier for the geese.
The other thing is that you can buy caps for those pipes, so all you have to do at night is put the cap on.
