You know spook, after having kids and being busy with life. I've started the last while trying to do my hair and make-up. (I've always been the no-makeup girl with a pony tail.) As an old bartender/waitress, I always had lots of men, wanting to get to know me. And I always got compliments on my smile, people said, I always smiled. (I did)Maybe I'm just an old man, but the most beautiful
thing a woman can put on her face is a smile...
and I guess that goes for anyone else also.
Sure enough, if you've got your face all done up
pretty, I make look twice. (I'm old, not dead.) But
I promise you, I'm going on my way without missing
a step. But a woman with a real smile...her, I may have
to stop and enjoy.
So, light up the day with a smile. Works on me every time.
But I'm just an old man.
Spook
I thought, after kids ect, that maybe I just wasn't as cute as I used to be, so I started trying to change me..
After reading this, you know what's changed, my Smile. It happens less often and sometimes isn't genuien. not like I used to be, you know the carefree young adult. nothing to worry about but myself. I smiled at strangers, while walking down the street, I smiled in the shower for no reason.
I think, instead of trying to change me, I will smile more. My hubby din't fall in love with my hair or make-up, as nethier was done. He's never said it, but I betcha he fell in love with my smile, & my attitude ect that went with it!
Tonight, and from here on in, I will remind myself to smile.
Thank-you Spookwritter!
