Making a feed and water station with buckets question

Hey all! We thinking of making our chickens’ feed and water stations out of buckets, for those that have done this does the color of the bucket make any difference? Thanks.

I've seen pictures of Tidy Cat yellow, Red Firehouse Subs, pickle yellow buckets, green 5 gallon buckets, and so on and so forth. Don't think it matters.

I’d say that only thing that color could impact is the water bucket - having something that is darker or not see-through could help minimize algae growth. I have a green Menards bucket for water that’s done very well at not growing gunk (plus it’s in the shade).
