I really appreciate your continued thoughts and concern. It helps me to not feel alone in this battle with bumblefoot.

She is one tough cookie! She insists on roosting up high at night. Somehow, she gets up there. I take her down in the morning so she doesn't have to jump. Her foot still looks bad. I'm trying all I can with what we have. I have been giving her colloidal silver orally, electrolyes and oregano in her water, and scrambled eggs occasionally.
I realize people may not agree with what I am using, but I have agreed to not spend much money on her care.

I understand not wanting to spend a huge amount. I found a couple of links with some pictures of larger lesions that may help. If you have not already done so, removing the pus and any necrotic tissue is really important, no healing will happen until that is done. Penicillin G Procaine is available without prescription in most states, at feed stores, for about $20. If you can get it cleaned out and under control before it becomes systemic, she has a chance. Applying decolorized iodine and wrapping overnight may help soften it for removal. You may have to work on it more than once depending on how it comes out. Once cleaned out Manuka honey in the wound can help, I use it on wounds a lot, and am treating a bumblefoot with it now. There are many options, just depends on how you want to go.

I agree...no healing is going to happen until you cut the pus out.
It's gross but it has to be done...so if you want to save her you really gotten toughing up and get it out.

Upon further investigation today, she isn't looking as well as I thought. She is feisty, her comb is super flopped over, and a small part of the tip of the comb is changing to a darker color.

I don't think she's going to make it.

I appreciate your help. Really. I have not given up on her, and will continue to treat her, but I cannot do the extensive surgery she requires. I've tried, and I almost vomited, I cried, and I got very woozy. We are now at the point of telling our kids to prepare for us having to "put her down" to end her pain. My husband and I will wait until Friday night or Saturday to make the final call.
