I was thinking I would just use one of those half-gallon cartons you get milk in, cut off the bottom, add some holes, and put it on a Frisbee. The only thing is...how do I get it stuck to the Frisbee? I'm worried they might try to eat the Super-Glue or something.

You could cut little flaps that you could duct tape down to hold the milk carton in place. (does that make sense)?

We made one out of a plastic cat litter box....
We cut out the bottom of one box to use as the tray and cut out the bottom corners of the other one for the food to come out of. We cut the tray part in half and taped it at each end of the open corners.

Ok I took some pictures...

This is the flap where the food would come out (you could do it on each side)

I put the jug on a plate just to use as your Frisbee. You could use a very small screw and screw the jug to the Frisbee from the bottom(it would go into the jug) and just duct tape the flap down.

Just an idea!

Groovy great idea for a home-made feeder - I would just CUT the flaps off the sides- my girls are busy bodies and the tape would just be one more thing for them to "get into"

Thats a good idea also. I agree, just cut off the flap.

<---Too lazy to really ask parents for help/they won't help me with anything but the money and the coop. Soo...maybe i could just make the flaps extra long and tape them to the bottom?

Got any smaller buckets laying around? 2-3 gallon sized would work well. You'd need to drill pretty big holes about 1/2 inch from the bottom of the bucket all the way around it, few smaller holes in the very bottom, some nuts and bolts to fit the smaller holes in the bottom and attatch the frisbee to the bottom, makes it easy to come apart to clean them. Personally I used galvinized steel dog dishes I got from walmart for $3 each, drilled smaller holes in the bottom of that to match up where I drilled the smaller holes in the bottom of the bucket and attatch it that way. I wouldn't trust any tape to hold a feeder together, that feed is dusty and its heavy, even duct tape wouldn't last long.
