Making fertile Eggs non-viable

Question:
Eating eggs sell for $4
Hatching eggs sell for $20+

How can I ensure someone doesn’t buy my “eating eggs” to hatch ?

I’ve hatched eggs from refrigerator storing. Is there any other way of making the eating eggs non-viable?

I sell eating eggs and hatching eggs for the same price. Am i missing something?

Need him to protect the flock. They are free range and he’s fairly amazing.

I think what you could do would be to store the eating eggs round end up in a carton for a while. This causes the air cell to become dislodged and stop any potential development.

Do you have only one breed? Otherwise, you mix your eating eggs in unpredictable ways (including mutts). That wouldn't actually stop anyone from hatching them, but it kind of takes away the intensive for most people.

Oops- I meant pointy end up, not round end up.

UM... the air cell is at the round or fat end. They are usually stored with round end up, whether they are for hatching or eating. Personally, what some one does with my eggs after they buy them is their business. They can eat them, shampoo their hair with them, or hatch them.

If your eggs are pure bred, you can certainly advertise them and sell them for more. But, if you are selling eggs to egg buying customers, set your price and be done with it.
