Other than the black ones, I'm pleased with all of these.

Looks like you got a dark partridge finally.

At the moment, at least, I have no ability to separate out flocks for breeding.

In the same boat, as you. But still able to hatch pure, Malays, Silkies, & Easter Eggers.

This very dark partridge girl is probably the mother of the Darker chick. She's just extra Melanized, not actually black.

Mine for comparison. Will include Male of the Dark/Melanized partridge.

I did have Australorp in my bloodline at one point, so suspecting the Charcoal Melanizer is what I'm seeing.
