Making Lemonade [Selective Culling Project - very long term]

Good mix of hatchling colors and patterns. I like having options, though the "chipmunk" tend to be the best looking birds as adults. Curious about the one with the dark spot on his head like a chipmunk, but no obvious stripes on the back. The other two chipmunks, one has a crisp set of markings, the other is a bit "blurred". Oh, and two more pips. Leaving just one more to do something this hatch.

Any news on #9?
Yes. I've had 2 cups of coffee, and #9 hatched. Another chipmunk, but darker. No black per se, but the whole chick looks blacker, if that makes any sense. My eyes were having trouble processing. Suspect it will be one of my birds that shows less and less red over time/more cover than pattern.

But I am often wrong about such things.

Need to talk with my better half about whether or no we are going to start another hatch immediately.
