Making the most of it.

My niece called me the other day and said I need to stop helping my sister fullfill her chicken obsession. LOL Poor kid gets stuck doing the heavy lifting.. so now I have to be careful with what I hatch.
Oh that sucks, If your sister wants the chickens, she should be primary caregiver! Poor niece.

No emu eggs for you!

You know, I never thought about it.. cause I do all the animal care in the house... My niece is awesome though. They love their animals but I guess there is a point when it gets to be too much especially since she is applying for colleges and stuff right now. I just assumed that all kids were like my kids. LOL so I now have that in the back of my mind and will be hatching for the farm on the west side instead.

In our house, DH feeds the dogs, I care for the chickens because they are mine (he only tolerates them because he loves me and I wanted them.) Of course, I don't have any kids around.

She sounds responsible and probably doesn't want to leave too much for her mom to do when she goes off to college.

Glad you still have someone to hatch for!
